Named the Resort of the Century by Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report in 1999, The Greenbrier's performance continues to win top ratings year after year including the AAA Five Diamond award since its inceptions, as well as the Mobil Four-Star Award.

- Top 100 Hotels in the U.S.+ Canada, Travel & Leisure The Best of 2007
- Conde Nast Traveler named the resort to its Gold List World's Best 700 Places to Stay (2006).
- The resort was ranked #1 on Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report's list of Top 20 U.S. Resort Hotels for both 2003 and 2004.
- The Greenbrier was the highest rated U.S. Golf Resort on Travel + Leisure's 500 Greatest Hotels in the World.
Recent Spa Awards
The Greenbrier Spa has been the recipient of several awards including being rated a Mobil Four-Star Spa and receiving three Readers Choice Awards from Spa Finder including Best for Golf, Best Medical Spa and Best Mineral Springs. Most recently The Greenbrier Spa was named to Travel & Leisure magazine's Top 25 Hotel Spas in their annual The Best of 2007 report.

Last year, GolfStyles Washington named The Greenbrier to their 100 Must-Plays of the Middle Atlantic.
Travel + Leisure Golf recognized the resort in several areas on with their World's Best 2005 Reader Survey, Midwest Northeast & Mid Atlantic. These awards included #3 Best Golf Resort, #3 Best Resort for Family Trips, #1 Best Restaurants and #2 Best Spa/Gym.
