Dream Tree for Kids

The Greenbrier's Dream Tree for Kids

The Greenbrier will be holding its “Dream Tree for Kids” holiday gift drive for the seventh straight year in 2017. The annual charitable campaign will donate more than $1 million in toys to local and national charities.

The "Dream Tree for Kids" project is the brainchild of the Justice family, who were inspired to help the community and beyond celebrate the season by ensuring that children wake up on Christmas morning with at least one gift to unwrap.

“The Dream Tree is such a meaningful event each year, not only for the families that are helped but for those who participate to make it possible,” said Dr. Jill Justice, President of The Greenbrier. “We believe that giving back to our community goes to the core of what The Greenbrier represents and is in keeping with our rich history.”

All gifts and proceeds from the "Dream Tree for Kids" drive will go toward the purchase of toys for children in need.

"It broke my heart thinking that my kids would wake up Christmas morning and not see any toys underneath our tree," recalled a past Dream Tree participating parent. "I couldn't imagine what to do. But then, I heard about the toys through the Union Mission and The Greenbrier; getting the toys made my children have the most wonderful Christmas."
