Robb Report lists The Greenbrier among 15 Best Golf Resorts in United States
WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — (January 6, 2022): The Greenbrier recently found itself in some elite company, as Robb Report included America’s Resort in its “The 15 Best Golf Resorts in the United States” list. The Greenbrier is one of six resorts on the East Coast mentioned in the feature.
The story highlights all of the golf offerings at America’s Resort, stating, “The Greenbrier is not of this time—in a good way. The West Virginia resort dates to 1778, and three of its four 18-hole courses are either past or very close to their centennial.”
A heavy portion of the piece on The Greenbrier focuses on the signature course, Old White. About the Charles Blair Macdonald course, which opened in 1914, Robb Report states, “It’s one of those classic layouts on which, as the pros say, ‘everything is right in front of you,’ even if its origins are in your rear-view mirror.”
For more than a century, The Greenbrier has been synonymous with world class golf. With three picturesque resort courses, a private course (rated among America’s best) and a nine-hole par-3 walking course, there’s no better golf destination than America’s Resort. Whether it’s playing a round where the legends have played on The Old White Course or The Greenbrier Course, honing your short game on The Ashford Short Course, taking in the breathtaking views on the Meadows Course or taking a lesson from The Greenbrier’s qualified professionals, The Greenbrier has everything a golfer needs to make his or her experience one that will never be forgotten.
“Our golf offerings and rich history in the game are unmatched, and we’re incredibly proud of the golf experience at America’s Resort” said Jill Justice, DO, President of The Greenbrier. “That’s only one aspect, however, of what helped The Greenbrier earn this distinction. It’s the entire resort experience that sets us apart, and that’s a credit to our Team Members who dedicate themselves to upholding The Greenbrier’s standard of excellence.”
