Robert was recruited joined The Greenbrier in 1991 as Director of Golf in an on-going effort to update and modernize the historic golf operation as well as other areas of the historic Greenbrier property and services. Since that time, Robert has served the resort in many different capacities, including overseeing all of the resort’s recreational activities. Before coming to The Greenbrier, Robert previously served as Director of Golf at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and the Head Golf Professional at Glade Springs Resort. A PGA of America Class A member since 1980, Robert is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. After a successful junior golf career in the North Florida area, Robert attended Brigham Young University on a Billy Casper scholarship (1969-1973), finishing and later graduating with a MS in Psychology. Robert is married to Judith Walz-Harris, a practicing attorney from Oklahoma City and Oklahoma City University. They have three grown children and five young grandchildren, spread across the globe.
Hill joined The Greenbrier in 1984 as an Assistant Golf Professional and was later promoted to Head Golf Professional in 1991. Hill is a native of Michigan where he played collegiately for Michigan State University. During his career at The Greenbrier Hill has been honored with numerous state, section and national awards including the 2011 PGA National Resort Merchandiser of the Year. Prior to his time at The Greenbrier Hill also spent time at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado and at the Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida.
