Mountaineer Experience
West Virginia is the home of the Mountaineers, and the Mountaineer Experience in the woods of Greenbrier Mountain provides guests with an opportunity to learn about some of the area’s favorite outdoor pursuits. The three-part excursion includes archery, air rifles, and tomahawk throwing.
Try to stay on target as you learn the feel and techniques of traditional archery with experienced instructors. Test your accuracy with high-powered air rifles as you shoot at a wide variety of kinetic air rifle targets. Try your hand at the traditional skill of tomahawk throwing. Under the instruction of an experienced guide, you’ll learn the proper technique to stick the tomahawk in a wooden target at varying yardages and angles.

Policies & Must-Know Information
- Reservations must be canceled 24 hours before the time of the activity. Guests will be charged the full cost of the activity if cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the start of the activity. For corporate and special events, reservations must be canceled 72 hours before the time of the activity.
- Participants must be at least seven years old.
- The archery course is located less than 10 minutes from The Greenbrier.
- Transportation departs from Greenbrier Outfitters, located next to the Outdoor Pool.
