What was your favorite memory from your Wedding at The Greenbrier?

Dancing the night away in the Cameo Ballroom, and our beautiful, delicious wedding cake – four tiers of Rainbow Sprinkle Cake and Chocolate Mint Cake. Also, getting our bow ties tied last minute at the Greenbrier Avenue Men’s shop.  

How did you hear about The Greenbrier?

Danny, an interior designer and long admirer of Dorothy Draper’s inimitable interiors at the resort, took Adam to The Greenbrier on a surprise trip to celebrate their second anniversary as a couple. On the trip home, they decided to get married, and there was never any other option as to where to do it. . 

What was the inspiration for your décor/theme of your wedding?

A Wes Anderson movie, with sets designed by Dorothy Draper. We decided to let the unforgettable Cameo Ballroom speak for itself in its breathtaking, elegant, and historic style.

After the wedding was over, what was your favorite detail from the wedding events?

One of our guests told us that when she was in the ladies room, one of The Greenbrier staff working at our wedding told her that she had never seen people having more fun at a wedding there before. And we entirely agree – the flawless execution of our special night was appreciated by all, but mostly the grooms. We wanted to throw a party for our closest friends and family to celebrate with us, and it will not soon be forgotten. 

How would you describe your wedding planning experience at The Greenbrier?

It started a little bumpy, but Maren saved the day! Maren and Whitney anticipated everything, and Martha at Gillespie’s was more than patient as we mulled options after options for all the details of our day. As we are both opinionated creatives, there were a lot of voices at the table, and everyone worked together to realize our amazing day.
