It's a state-of-mind. The 7,500 square foot, Adirondack-inspired oak and timber framed gathering place offers a picture-perfect respite from the world below. Perched majestically atop the 3,300-foot peak of Greenbrier Mountain, The Summit blends seamlessly with the surrounding forest, offering resident members unique leisure experiences to compliment the Sporting Life. The Summit's main attraction is its restaurant, which is housed in the main Summit Lodge. A massive, double-sided fireplace of locally quarried stone is the centerpiece of this rustic, elegant space, with dining on one side and a lounge and full-service bar on the other. An antique cabin wing functions as a game room with billiards, darts, shuffleboard, and other novelty games for members to pass the time. The Summit is a place where resort casual at The Greenbrier Sporting Club finds its definition. It evokes its own personality. Outdoor terrace dining at The Summit is very popular in the summer months. Diners enjoy fantastic views of the valley below, and the outdoor fireplace adds to the pastoral ambiance. Alongside the restaurant, in the event glade, is an outdoor amphitheater with natural stone seating, at which music concerts are held monthly during the season. Down a small path from The Summit restaurant is The Summit's mountainside pool. This leisure pool boasts one of the best views anywhere, with an infinity edge that pours over into the wide expanse of the valley and surrounding Alleghenies.
