Todd Gillespie and Rob Booth Join The Greenbrier Sales Team
Todd Gillespie and Rob Booth, leaders in the resort group sales industry, have been named director of sales and director of sponsorship sales, respectively, for The Greenbrier.
Gillespie returns to The Greenbrier as the leader of the group sales effort, after holding the same position at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida. From 2001 through 2008, Gillespie served as director of sales and marketing for three Benchmark Hospitality International properties: Bedford Springs Resort, Stonewall Resort and Glade Springs Resort. Before he joined Benchmark, he was a national sales manager for The Greenbrier. Gillespie’s extensive experience in hospitality group sales also includes Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa and Lakeview Resort and Conference Center. He is a member of Meeting Professionals International, Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International and is a member of the board of directors for the Southeast Tourism Society.
As director of sponsorship sales, Booth is responsible for developing corporate sponsorship opportunities for The Greenbrier Classic, as well as assisting in growing the resort’s group business. Booth, who has a master’s degree in sports marketing, was most recently with Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort and Spa as director of national accounts. His tenure at Sawgrass began in 2006 when he was named business development manager. He was later promoted to sales manager for the resort. Prior to joining Sawgrass, Booth gained additional sales, hospitality and sports marketing experience with Playfit Enterprises, Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club, C Magazine and ScorePAD sports.“Todd and Rob are outstanding hospitality professionals and we are thrilled to have them as part of our team,” said Jeff Kmiec, vice president of sales and marketing for The Greenbrier. “They are well-known in the resort industry and will be invaluable assets as we grow our group business and prepare for The Greenbrier Classic.”
