The resort's expansive grounds and many venues offer opportunities for different types of dress during your stay. Those planning to participate in an questrian activity will want to read on for appropriate safety information in regard to their dress. Those coming for a casual weekend will find the resort offers many casual dining facilities to make you and your family feel welcome.

Those wanting to remember an occasion or celebrate the grandeur of the resort, may want to plan ahead for dinner in The Greenbrier's most formal venue, The Main Dining Room. This tradition is still alive during the dinner hour where men are still required to wear jacket and tie and ladies an evening suit or dress. Children are required to dress in a similar manner.

Dining Venues

Main Dining Room:
Breakfast - Casual attire, including collared sport shirts, sweaters, jackets, slacks and walking shorts.
Dinner - Jacket and tie for men and dresses or evening suits for women. Children 10 and older are required to wear attire similar to that of adults.

Draper's Café, Sam Snead's at The Golf Club, and Slammin' Sammy's: Casual attire, including collared sport shirts, sweaters, jackets, slacks and walking shorts.

Sports & Recreational Activities

Guests are required to change into swimwear at the indoor and outdoor swimming pools in provided dressing rooms. Swimwear, robes and bare feet are not permitted in any public area of the Hotel with the exception of the swimming pools, spa and mineral baths.

Exercise Facilities

Golf, Golf Academy, Tennis

Tee shirts, tank tops, cut-offs, short shorts and sweat pants are not permitted on the golf courses or tennis courts.

Horseback Riding and other Outdoor Activities

Appropriate attire for the specific recreational activity is required, including helmets and riding caps. Jeans are considered appropriate during the day and for horseback riding, carriage rides, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, hunting preserve, falconry academy, gun club, and The Greenbrier Off-Road Driving School.
