The Old White TPC, the first 18-hole golf course at The Greenbrier, opened in 1914. A legend of Greenbrier golf history, the course was named for the well-known Old White Hotel, which stood on the grounds from 1858 to 1922.

The Greenbrier Classic

The Greenbrier Course, originally constructed in 1924 by Seth Raynor, was redesigned by Jack Nicklaus in 1977. The Greenbrier is the only resort course in the world to have hosted The Ryder Cup (1979) and The Solheim Cup (1994).

Afternoon Tea

This year, the 2013 Champions Tennis Classic will span two days and include three marquee matches between four tennis legends. Returning to the court will be Pete Sampras and John McEnroe who will be joined by Ivan Lendl and Tommy Haas who will be playing at The Greenbrier for the first time!

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Main Dining Room, we invite you to enjoy an enhanced version of this Greenbrier tradition that guests have been enjoying since the 1930s. Nibble on a delightful selection of freshly-prepared pastries and cookies beneath Dorothy Draper's original custom-designed crystal chandeliers. Live piano music and/or dancers will provide entertainment as you savor the tea and delicacies.

Reservations are not required. Please call 855-453-4858 (Option 1) with any questions.

Rates

Complimentary for registered guests and members. Non-registered guests may also enjoy Afternoon Tea at a cost of $16 per adult and $8 per child (6 to 12 years).

Hours

Afternoon Tea is served from 4:00pm until 4:45pm daily. The Springhouse Entertainers give a welcoming performance promptly at 4:00pm, Tuesday through Sunday (not on Mondays).

Dress is resort casual.
