New "Upper Lobby" Personal Concierge Service in D.C.

White Sulphur Springs, WV - November 27, 2012: The Greenbrier, the classic American vacation resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV, that was once dubbed the "Summer White House," will unveil its new "Upper Lobby" personal concierge and sales office in Washington, DC later this month.

The Upper Lobby, a 700-square-foot-plus drawing room designed by The Greenbrier's renowned curator Carleton Varney (president of Dorothy Draper & Company) to mirror the resort's signature d├ęcor, will be opened to the public at 1427 H Street NW, Washington, DC, from 8am to 6pm on Wednesday, November 28th, with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2pm. The Upper Lobby will be staffed with a personal concierge team who will be able to assist in the booking of individual rooms and groups at The Greenbrier, including special rates available only through the DC office. The Upper Lobby concierges will also help Greenbrier-bound travelers arrange bookings with The Greenbrier Golf Club, Spa, Casino Club and more.

As part of next week's Upper Lobby grand opening event, The Greenbrier will also announce its gift of $50,000 to Paws2Care (, which will go towards the purchase of more than 2,000 children's books and stuffed animals to be delivered to DC-area kids who wake up in Inova Hospital emergency rooms on Christmas morning. The gift to the Inova Health System, which operates six hospitals throughout the DC area, is just one element of the $1 million in toys and gifts, personally donated to area charities by Jim Justice, the owner of The Greenbrier, as part of his second annual "Create a Dream Tree for Kids" initiative at the resort.
