The Greenbrier Breaks Records With Annual
"Create A Dream Tree For Kids" Holiday Gift Drive 


5.5 MILES OF WRAPPING PAPER USED FOR 23,000 GIFTS
 

White Sulphur Springs, WV - December 3, 2013: The Greenbrier, the historic American resort in West Virginia's Allegheny Mountains, has announced that this year's "Create a Dream Tree for Kids" holiday drive is set to break all past records.

Volunteers spent over 1,500 hours wrapping nearly 23,000 gifts for regional children's charities, using 5.5 miles of wrapping paper. The Greenbrier will be distributing an additional 15,000 gifts to organizations who have asked that they remain unwrapped. A total of more than 38,000 gifts will be brought to area children in need by 86 charitable organizations in West Virginia and beyond, ensuring that tens of thousands of families awaken on Christmas morning with a gift for their children.

The project, initiated two years ago by Jim Justice, noted billionaire philanthropist and owner of The Greenbrier, has raised more than $2 million in toys and gifts for local and national charities, and aims to add at last $1 million more in 2013.

"The Dream Tree project has been such an amazing success over the past two years, generating millions of dollars in gifts for underprivileged children throughout our area and around the country," says Justice. "And I am confident that, with the help of our generous guests at The Greenbrier, we will go above and beyond once again this year."

All gifts and proceeds from the "Create a Dream Tree for Kids" drive will go towards the purchase of toys for children in need.
