White Sulphur Springs, WV - May 6, 2014: The Greenbrier resort and The Greenbrier Sporting Club are proud to announce that their top toques have been featured among the Best Chefs in the South in Best Chefs America Presents:  The American South.

Executive Chef Bryan Skelding of The Greenbrier and Executive Chef Stephen Gustard of The Greenbrier Sporting Club were featured in The American South guide for the first time, while Sporting Club Chef de Cuisine Reed Van Den Berghe was chosen by his peers as one of the top chefs in the South for the second consecutive year.  Chef Skelding has been with The Greenbrier culinary brigade for more than a decade, working his way up through the ranks to the position of Executive Chef, to which he was promoted in June 2013.  In this position, Chef Skelding oversees all culinary operations for all 13 restaurants in The Greenbrier's award-winning Restaurant Collection.  Chef Gustard, who began his association with The Greenbrier in the resort's prestigious culinary apprentice program in 2001, has served as Executive Chef for the past five years at The Greenbrier Sporting Club, where he's expanded the on-site kitchen gardens and brought his passion for gardening, mushroom foraging and sourcing of local meats.  And Chef Van Den Berghe's relationship with The Greenbrier goes back 20 years, during which time he has worked with the culinary teams at Sam Snead's at The Golf Club, Draper's Café, The Lodge and The Summit at The Greenbrier Sporting Club, where he recently took the helm as Chef de Cuisine.
