THE GREENBRIER TO HOST
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS DRAFT PARTY

White Sulphur Springs- April 21, 2015: The Greenbrier, the historic destination resort, spa and casino in West Virginia’s Allegheny Mountains, has announced that it will be hosting the New Orleans Saints Draft Party with General Manager, Mickey Loomis and Head Coach, Sean Payton, via Skype.

This event will take place on April 30, 2015 from 7 pm to 9 pm in The Greenbrier’s beloved Slammin’ Sammy’s restaurant. Guests will have an exclusive look into the 2015 NFL Draft as they hear directly from Mr. Loomis and Coach Payton heading into the first round of the Draft as the team announces their first round Draft picks. The Draft party continues with a relaxed evening in Slammin’ Sammy’s on May 1, 2015 from 7 pm to 9 pm as guests watch the continuation of the 2015 NFL Draft.

General Manager, Mickey Loomis, enters his twelfth season in his current position and fourteenth with the Saints. He is a veteran of nearly 30 years in the NFL and during his time in New Orleans, he has been honored with the most prestigious awards presented to a league executive. Yet the most satisfying achievement of Mr. Loomis’ career has come in helping mold a roster that has produced many of the franchise’s finest moments over the last seven seasons, including the Super Bowl XLIV championship.

Since he was hired as Head Coach of the New Orleans Saints in 2006, Sean Payton has established himself as one of the most successful coaches in the NFL. Since coming to New Orleans, Coach Payton has led the Saints to five playoff berths, three NFC South division titles and the franchise’s first World Championship with a 31-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV. Throughout his tenure, Coach Payton holds the franchise’s top winning percentage for a head coach and ranks fourth among current NFL head coaches. The 2009-2011 seasons under Payton marked the most successful stretch in team history, as New Orleans posted a 41-14 mark, including the postseason, the most victories in the NFL. Coach Payton is one of just seven active coaches to lead a team to a Super Bowl victory.

The New Orleans Saints Draft Party and The Draft Continues are parts of The Greenbrier’s Ultimate Sports Weekend. Guests will be able to enjoy a weekend full of sports as it continues with the Kentucky Derby’s Jockeys and Juleps on May 2, 2015 from 4 pm to 7 pm .
